Jhoselyn, 11

Jhoselyn came to us with her sister, Mariela, from a short term home here in Cochabamba. They had lived together in this home for several years after being abandoned.

Jhoselyn has had a very difficult past and it sometimes shows in here actions and attitude. She is beginning to soften into the ten year old God wants her to be. We are praying daily for her that God would heal her past and correct the actions of her future.

Mariela is strong willed and appears to have learning disabilities. She is struggling in second grade this year but is surviving with the help of a tutor. We are praying daily that God would soften her and heal the past that has so deeply wounded her.

Carla Lorena, 9

Carla Lorena has come to Bolivian Youth Ministries after her mother died and there was no one in her immediate family to take care of her. She too has had a very difficult past but is learning to cope by the grace of God.

She is a mellow, caring and loving who is doing well in 4th grade. Carla is a pleasure to have nearby and is always ready to smile.

Leydi, 10

Leydi and her two sisters have come to us from another home in Cochabamba. That home asked that we take in this sibling group as it ministers to children in the short term and these three sisters were there nearly two years.

As is the case with many of the girls, their past has been very difficult. Neglect, abandonment and abuse has been commonplace. We pray that they will be able to experience the love of Jesus Christ here in Villa Esperanza.
