Helen, 14 Helen is thirteen years old. She is one of three sisters who were orphaned when their mother died in jail in 2000. Her relatives are unable to care for her so she will be in the BYM homes permanently. She has lived a difficult life and at times shows her pain by being introverted and very serious. Helen is extremely intelligent and at age 13 says she would like to be a doctor. We are working on her English and hope that one day she would be able to attend school (High School and/or College) in the States. Presently, she and Elizabeth are attending a Christian Middle school nearby and is doing well. God loves this little girl (who is quickly becoming a big girl) and so do we. Fully Sponsored!

Zulema, 9 Zulema came to live in the BYM homes with her younger sister just a short time ago. She had been living in a private home for the past two years after her mother died and the father is unknown. She is a lovely girl and is happy most of the time. She is a couple years behind in school but we hope that she will be caught up and be able to move on in a year or two. She is so energetic she took a dive a couple weeks ago while playing tag and broke her collar bone; she's still active and the cast hasn't slowed her down a bit. Please pray for her to adjust to her new life here. Available for Sponsorship! |
